The A732 consists of a built-in 60V high-voltage switch boost driver and an 8-channel constant current source with a built-in 50V MOSFET. It can drive up to 10.8W LEDs and is suitable for 17" and 19" LED monitor backlights. The A728 is composed of a boost conversion control circuit that drives an external power switch and a 12-channel constant current source with a built-in 66V MOSFET. It can drive up to 36W LEDs and is suitable for use in 19" to 24" LED monitor backlights. The expanded master-slave architecture can drive more than 100W of LEDs, enough to drive 30" to 42" LED TV backlights.
A732/A728 can control external power switch to prevent starting surge current and provide output short circuit protection, which can achieve true shutdown isolation and avoid light leakage caused by LED leakage. The A732/A728 can support both DC voltage and pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming methods, of which the PWM mode can achieve a dimming range of 1000:1. The built-in constant current source has a time difference switching mechanism, which staggers the on and off times of each channel current, and reduces the interference caused by dimming. The patented voltage feedback mechanism provides the driver IC to operate in an optimal efficiency mode at all times, independent of LED forward voltage (VF) variations and temperature changes.
