The opening and closing ceremonies of the Guangzhou Asian Games (scheduled for opening on November 12th) will be held at the newly built Haixinsha Square. These LEDs show different colors, highlighting the shape of the stadium's side-shaped opening, the two wings are the UFO-like Guangzhou Theater and the grid-like Guangzhou TV Tower. OSLON SSL Amber/Green/Blue LEDs and Warm White LEDs will be used for stand-alone floodlighting, providing a variety of color combinations for architectural lighting. Each floodlight is equipped with four separate display pixels and color adjustment areas to produce bright, rich colors. It will be paired with a real-time video control system to create colorful colors based on the various needs of the opening ceremony. The project uses a total of 3,200 floodlights with approximately 200,000 LEDs. In order to achieve the desired results and performance, a variety of design solutions have been explored before. Chen Jiansheng, general manager of Guangzhou Zhongda Zhongming Technology Co., Ltd., responsible for the design of these floodlight optics and control systems, said: "After testing and comparison of various design schemes, a special two-way asymmetric lens design and DMX network system were selected. In this way, the system is simpler and the lighting effect is more attractive." OSRAM's OSLON SSL series are compact, symmetrical LEDs with luminous efficiencies as high as 84 lm/W (typ) at 350 mA operating current and 80° or 150° viewing angles, making them ideal for architectural lighting applications.
