ACR: New Progress in Biosensor Research

Recently, Accounts of Chemical Research, an authoritative chemical synthesis journal, published an invitation review article written by Fan Chunhai, the Institute of Physical Biology, Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Biosensors are important tools for realizing cheap and rapid bioassays. They are of great significance for rapid prevention and control of sudden events such as disease diagnosis, violent infectious diseases, and bioterrorism attacks in small clinics and even in families. However, how to realize the coupling of biomolecules at the sensory interface and fully exploit the high specific recognition ability of biomolecules has become a key issue in the field of biosensors.

To address this issue, Fan Chunhai's research team adopted a sensing strategy based on molecular conformational changes and achieved good results, one after another in JACS, Angew. Chem. Adv. Mater. And other internationally renowned magazines published a series of research papers.

The Institute of Applied Biology of Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics has accumulated many years of research in the field of biosensors. In this review, researchers systematically elaborated a new biosensing strategy developed by the Task Force using the conformational change of DNA molecules, and the strategy Electrochemical DNA biosensors, aptamer sensors, visualization based on nanogold particles, and other applications.
