After nearly ten years of development, the LED chip companies in the northern region have withdrawn from the industry in different ways, and the fact that the proportion of enterprises and output value has also decreased year by year confirms the industrial changes in the above regions. The rapid rise of the southern LED industry, represented by the Yangtze River Delta and South China, has caused the scale and influence of the northern LED industry to decline year by year in the past few years.
This paper will compare the number of enterprises, production capacity and revenue data to illustrate the current status of the LED chip industry in the northern region, and analyze the future industrial development pattern of the region.

According to statistics from the High-Tech LED Industry Research Institute (GLII), as of the end of 2011, the total number of LED chip companies in China was 95, of which 20 were in the northern region, accounting for 21%.
