The largest size OLED display in China

OLED technology once again achieved a major breakthrough in Kunshan. The reporter learned yesterday (26th) from the High-tech Zone that the domestic first full-color 12-inch active-driven organic light-emitting display (AMOLED) full-color display was successfully developed in Kunshan. This is the first domestic 10-inch or larger OLED display independently developed by the company. Marks China's AMOLED technology formally entered the "big screen" era.

The person in charge of the Kunshan City Viscino Display Technology Co., Ltd., which was involved in the development, told the reporter that the large-size display can be widely used in large-size display fields such as computers and televisions.

According to reports, large-size AMOLED is currently the main direction of flat panel display technology development in the world. Korea, Japan and Taiwan have listed it as the next generation of the most important display technology and focus on development. In order to speed up the research and development and industrialization of large-size OLED displays in China, Kunshan Visionox Corporation and Kunshan Institute of Technology and Industrial Science and Technology united in April 2010 to establish an innovative technology research institute that specializes in AMOLED technology research and development and industrial transformation. Display center, and built the first AMOLED pilot production line in China. In December 2010, the project team of the center opened up the LTPS-TFT backplane and OLED display manufacturing technology, and successfully developed 2.8-inch, 3.5-inch and 7.6-inch AMOLED full-color displays. The successful development of the 12-inch AMOLED full-color display represented the highest level of AMOLED display technology in China and laid a solid foundation for China's independent research and development of large-size AMOLED display products. It is reported that the above-mentioned R&D work has received project support from the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
