Memory throughput test
Memory is the core component of the projection box. In the von Neumann architecture, memory is connected to all other components. Memory throughput refers to the rate at which information is stored or retrieved from memory. The memory throughput is not only related to the memory, but also related to the CPU, and even related to the bus bandwidth, which is a concentrated expression of the internal rate of the box.

USB3.0 speed test

Z4X USB3.0 interface speed has reached the requirements of ordinary USB3.0 mobile storage devices, so although you feel comfortable buying ordinary USB3.0 mobile storage devices, Z4X will not become a bottleneck in speed, including flash drives and mechanical hard drives . Of course, the SANDISK EXTREME USB3.0 Extreme 64GB that I tested for the old demon is far beyond the scope of ordinary USB3.0 devices. It is a wolf dressed in sheepskin (an SSD with a USB coat).
2. Z4X's USB3.0 interface speed has exceeded its network speed, so you can use the Z4X with a USB3.0 storage device (or SATA hard disk) to make it a NAS.
3. The USB 3.0 interface speed of Z4X will not become a bottleneck for the playback of large-rate movies. Therefore, it is recommended to use USB3.0 storage devices to play large-rate movies.
If calculated according to the reading rate of 33MB/S, the maximum playable video bit rate of the Z4X is 264 Mbps through the USB 3.0 interface. However, please note that 220Mbps is the peak bit rate of 4K movies, that is to say, Z4X USB3.0 interface rate, fully meet the 4K original disk playback needs. Video over 220Mbps, even if you can find it, is almost always test video (for example, ducks fly).
Play 4K video while monitoring the CPU usage of the Z4X. Extremely low CPU usage confirms that it is really hard to solve 4K video:
Tested for high-stream video playback, "Duck-child fly" 4K video rate reached an abnormal 248Mbps, but unfortunately Z4X prompt does not support the video format.
NFS (Network File System) Limit Test
Unfortunately, the underlying Z4X does not support NFS mounts. The Linux kernel compiles without nfs support resulting in:
Z4X as a client, PC as a server, and a full Gigabit network environment, the commands used are:

First test the performance under the WIFI environment. The router used for the test is a full Gigabit dual-band router. The Z4X is 1.5 meters away from the router and is slightly obstructed.

Next, we tested the performance of the wired network environment. The router used for the test was also a full Gigabit dual-band router. The router was connected to the Z4X using a Category 6 network cable.
The SMB limit rate under the wired network was tested as: 11.01MB/S = 88Mbps. Remove the error. This value is basically the same as the SMB limit rate in the WIFI 5G network.
(300-second Server-Side Benchmark): In the 300-second test, the stability of the wired network can be described as very good. The average speed in 300 seconds is 10.725MB/S, which is about 85.8Mbps.

In all media resources, the video can only be played by “Mo-1080-1332kbps.f4v†and “Secure-1080-17Mbps.evoâ€. Also note that the two duck-child fly MKV videos with bit rates of 108 Mbps and 248 Mbps could not be played, suggesting that the Z4X may not currently support oversized bit-rate movies.
Of course, in addition to media format compatibility, another important indicator is the ability to broadcast control. Z4X's broadcast control capability is still quite good, with drag and drop selection, audio adjustment, picture ratio switching, image mode adjustment, subtitle selection, 3D settings, audio track switching and other functions.
3D video playback test
Use a meter shutter 3D glasses for testing. Found in the test, Z4X can not only play common 3D-ISO, 3D re-encoded video, and even can play 3D-4K video (4K format 3D video).

This function can also be used as a gravity sensor for iPads and iPhones and gravity sensing games on the large screens of TVs. This function is also very useful in education, training, and conferences. It allows the speaker to speak through a handheld smart device (iPhone, iPad) or PC, to be presented on a large-screen projection, and because it is through the WIFI signal, Traditional Bluetooth and other methods have no restrictions on the distance of the venue, and it is extremely convenient for multiple speakers to switch. Some of the bugs and imperfections mentioned in the article are basically concentrated on the firmware level, and it is not difficult to solve them.

The Z4X completed 8000MB data read and write operations in 5.61 seconds. Its memory throughput is 1.3926GBytes/S, which is excellent. SMB (Network Neighborhood) Limit Test
The SMB limit rate under the WIFI 2.4G network is: 8.133MB/S = 65Mbps.
To avoid the effect of the machine cache, restart the Z4X and connect to the WIFI 5G network:
The test obtained the SMB limit rate under the WIFI 5G network: 11.08MB/S = 88.64Mbps
Judging from the extreme speed performance in the WIFI environment, the Z4X can play Blu-ray ISO-level video (about 45Mbps) smoothly through the WIFI 2.4G at a distance of 1.5 meters from the router and can be played smoothly through the WIFI 5G to 80Mbps. Rate of video (such as 4K), 1080P or even 720P re-encoded video is even more.
Wired network limit test
(300 seconds Client-Side Benchmark): The above Benchmark is still just Z4X as a server-side running score. If it is a client, the score will be higher. Now the old demon will use the Z4X as a client, perform Benchmark for 300 seconds, and explore the extreme value of its wired network.
It can be seen that SMB has been optimized and that NFS needs official support.
Of course, some small BUG is also there, such as the audio track switching title written "3D settings", subtitle file name display is not complete, but these are all perfect.
