Summary: The actual capacitive components have distributed parameters. The most important influence on the characteristics of the capacitors is the parasitic inductance. These parasitic inductors and the capacitors themselves form a resonant loop, which makes the capacitors have certain limitations when used. Therefore, the capacitor itself can be measured. The size of the parasitic inductance makes it possible to select the capacitor element more reasonably in use. Since the inductance of the parasitic inductance is small, mostly nH level, most of the LCR bridges cannot measure the parasitic inductance of the capacitor itself. In order to accurately measure the parasitic inductance, a measurement method using the self-resonance principle is described, and the DDS sweeping technology can be used to quickly complete the measurement of the parasitic inductance.
