On January 5th, US local time, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich announced a series of cooperation plans, new products and innovative technologies at CES 2016, including advances in digital sports, health management and fitness technology. Music, art, robots and new inventions.

These collaborations coincide with the three future trends that Ke Zaiqi put forward in the keynote speech: the smart connected world, technology has the same human-like perception, and computing is becoming super-personalized.

Sports and healthy layout

Intel announced a partnership with the US Entertainment and Sports Program Network (ESPN) and Red Bull Media House to launch an Intel-based solution.

In cooperation with ESPN, Intel will use a new level of data analysis at the 2016 Aspen Station's XGames Aspen 2016 to gain insight into athlete performance. The Men's Snowboarding Skills and Men's Snowboarding Aerials will feature a tiny, low-power Intel Curie module that provides real-time data on athletes' performance, such as air rotation, jump height, jump distance, speed and landing pressure. Acquiring these new data will not only allow athletes to understand their performance, but also provide additional parameters for TV broadcast commentators and change the audience's viewing experience on site and at home.

In cooperation with Replay Technology, sports fans can get a new viewing experience through broadcast sports programs or in the gymnasium and home. With ReplayfreeD technology optimized for Intel platforms, sports fans will be able to replay view highlights from any angle and share their own personalized video clips with others.

Intel also has a strategic partnership with NewBalance to develop wearable technology. NewBalance has formed a new digital sports division, hoping to connect athletes with technology to improve athletes' performance. Ke Zaiqi and NewBalance CEO Rob DeMarTIni put on custom 3D printed midsole running shoes (using Intel RealSense technology) and announced that they will launch smart sports watches in the 2016 Christmas season.

For the first time, Oakley and Intel demonstrated the "RadarPace" smart glasses, which are equipped with a voice-activated real-time coaching system. This smart glasses provides real-time feedback and data analysis for runners, cyclists and fitness enthusiasts to help track movement progress and improve performance in real time.

Other innovative technologies and applications

In terms of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), Ke Zaiqi demonstrated YuneecTyphoon H with Intel RealSense technology, which has anti-collision capability and will be available in the first half of 2016. In the field of robotics, Korge showed Ninebot's Segway personal balance car, which can be turned into a robot. This is an open platform that uses the Intel Atom processor and the new Intel RealSense ZR300 camera to move through complex environments and intelligently interact with users and their sensors. Segway plans to introduce the robot to the market and will launch a developer kit in the second half of 2016.

Ke Zaiqi announced that he will establish a multi-year partnership with the National Recording Science Society and adopt more new technologies in the “Next Generation Grammy Moments” project.

At the same time, Ke Zaiqi confirmed that in 2016, Intel will achieve the goal of “conflict-free minerals” not only in microprocessors, but also in a wider range of products.
