Japan-based startup Exiii is developing a touch glove with power feedback. Today, the company announced that it has raised $750,000 to continue research and development, expand sales channels and strengthen the company's team. The new funding will be invested by Japan's venture capital firm Global Brain, which will be used to expand the company's R&D team and current prototypes, with a view to bringing it to the consumer market in the near future. As early as March of this year, we learned that the company is developing two different styles of tactile VR gloves, Exos Wrist and Exos Gripper, which use different methods to force feedback. And Exiii has now developed two versions of the development kit for tactile gloves and has recently begun offering them to corporate customers. Both gloves are integrated into the VR experience using the Unity SDK. Exiii said it is positioning gloves for outdoor applications such as entertainment and businesses, but it's unclear whether they are ultimately planning to target the consumer industry; considering the unique feature set of gloves, it may be more practical to go to a VR mall to find a home. In addition, Exiii plans to use Global Brain's new funding to expand its R&D team and expand into the international market. In addition to announcing that the company is hiring several new positions. The company did not explicitly mention that the $750,000 investment series belongs to that round! Non-polarizing Beam Splitter Prism The depolarization beam splitting prism is to coat a multi-layer interference film on the inclined surface of a right-angle prism, and then glue it into a cube structure, so that the P-polarized component and S-polarized component of the incident light have similar light-splitting characteristics.
After the light is split by the beam splitting prism, the original horizontal polarization and vertical polarization ratio of the incident light are maintained as much as possible. The optical characteristic separation of P light and S light is less than 5%, the dispersion is low, and the color neutrality is good. The wavelength covers 400-1600nm, and it is widely used in interferometers, various imaging instruments, and medical instruments.
