TE introduces new PCB connectors that meet RAST standards

TE Connectivity ( TE ) has announced the expansion of its RAST-compliant PCB (printed circuit board) connector family to support the safety standards of most industrial and household appliances. The expanded portfolio will cover a wide range of sizes, colors, solder fillet layouts and plating options, and the new TE PCB connectors are ideal for major home appliances and other wire-to-board connectors and control applications.

The TE introduced two PCB connectors. Among them, the RAST 5 standard 5 mm pitch PCB connector provides 2 to 8 positions and 3 solder fillet layouts, while the RAST 2.5 standard 2.5 mm pitch PCB connector provides 3 to 15 positions, 1 The solder fillet layout is available in both external and internal lock types. Both models are available in either tin or silver plated, in a variety of different colors and in different mounting positions to meet customer customization needs and save costs.
